We've got a new addition to the Battlescale 6mm ranges this week, with a Harbour Masters House now available. Steve made this model as a tribute to a friend who sadly passed away:
"Well, I was planning for my first new piece of the year to be in 10mm. However, since hearing the really sad news about the passing of my friend Ian, I felt I had to create something as a small tribute to a lovely man.
Ian was a 'salty sea dog' in a previous life and spent many years in the Royal Navy. His affinity with the sea stayed with him it seems throughout his life. He often spoke of his time at sea and made several videos regarding the ever eroding coastline in his part of the country.
As a wargamer, like many of us, he was somewhat of a butterfly, skipping from one era, one scale, to the other. His first passion was ACW in 6mm and he always seemed to find his way back to it in one form or another. Having thought about all this I decided to make a harbour masters house in 6mm."
These are suitable for both 6mm and 10mm games, being about 10mm overall height.
